The challenge
A seed stage defense technology startup was raising capital around an autonomous cargo aircraft that had previously existed only through technical drawings and concepts. Without a working prototype to show, investors had limited ability to assess the viability of the technology or the team’s ability to bring it to market.
A successful live flight demonstration created a critical opportunity to make the product more tangible and give investors visible evidence of progress.
The strategy
Tranquility developed a turnkey media strategy around the one day demonstration. The strategy defined the target audience, key messages, formats, and intended use across LinkedIn, the company website, and its investor data room.
The story focused on the company’s national security mission and the technology behind the prototype. It also demonstrated the team’s credibility and ability to execute.
Separate shot lists and statements of work gave the videographer and on camera creator clearly defined responsibilities before arriving onsite.
The production
Tranquility presented multiple qualified creator options that matched the approved project budget and scope. The company made the final selections with Tranquility’s recommendations.
A professional videographer captured cinematic demonstration footage and detailed shots of the aircraft. An on camera creator hosted conversational interviews with founders and technical experts, giving the content a natural but polished quality.
Tranquility managed scheduling, access requirements, production logistics, creator coordination, editing oversight, revisions, quality control, and payment. After approving the strategy, the company only needed to provide site access and a day of point of contact.
The deliverables
5x short form videos
Ready to post 9:16 videos created for LinkedIn, including demonstration recaps and founder or technical expert interviews.
3x cinematic technical videos
16:9 videos created for the investor data room, covering aircraft systems, technical features, and stages of the live demonstration.
35x B roll clips
Edited clips created for website use and future fundraising materials.
The result
The company gained a more compelling way to communicate what it had built and why the team was positioned to bring it to market. The media expanded investor exposure through LinkedIn, generated new inbound interest, and created a reusable video library for future fundraising conversations. The full package was delivered within 14 days of the shoot and included two revision rounds.
